Question for anyone who had a baby with an umbilical hernia....?

My baby was born with an umbilical hernia. His Dr. said if it does not go away by the time he is 1, they will operate. Well, he is 11 months old now and it is still there. When did your childs go away? If your child was operated on, please tell me about it! Thank you for all your help!
