What are so AWSOME attractions on the east coast?

Some buddie and I might be going on a road trip down the east coast this summer we are looking for outa this world attractions to go to but things that are somewhat cheaper... example is an amusement center in the great smokey mountains where you can skydive in a wind tunnel. any ideas?
