Can anyone give me a few ideas/tips about a WWIII book?

I am writing a series, not a novel, about WW3 in 2012 (Modern Warfare gave me a start). Some ideas I which consists have are the UN (United Nations) of the USA, Russian Federation, British Empire, French Republic, & Federal Republic of Germany. Then there are the FAC (First Asian Coalition) which include the People's Republic of China, Empire of Japan, Korea, and Vietnam, who attack America. Other nations will be invovled. Just a starting story, site, or any general ideas/tips will be welcome. Thanks.
