My two pit bulls hate each other =(?

To make a long story short: My family and I got an adult male pit bull not too long ago and we love him dearly! However, my brother, who had moved out, just moved back home today and, of course, he brought his pit bull with him that he's always had. The dogs HATE each other. They keep barking at one another aggressively and trying to get to each other. So, we have to keep them separated. But, I'm afraid they may get to each other one day! Is there any way to just make them like each other and be friends??!
