Why does my beagle throw up when she drinks water?

My beagle is three years old and everytime she has a lot of water she throws it up (projectile puke). It doesn't matter if she drinks it fast or slow. It has to do with the quantitiy. I try to monitor how much she drinks everytime she drinks but it has been so hot lately that sometimes i can't control the situation. Any ideas why she does this? Is this common among beagles? (She is actually a Tree Walker Coon Hound)
