Why does child abuse have to be so common?

Just hearing stories about Baby P & Kelsey Briggs reminds me of why I believe in using birth control & getting an abortion. Although abortion is murdering an unborn life, at least the kids don't feel any pain. Plus, there are too many kids without loving parents. I know some people believe that every kid deserves to have a mom & a dad. But I personally believe that every kid deserves to have loving parents. But sadly, not every kid gets that. Child abuse is all too common & I hate it!
